In a live interview with Erin Burnett OutFront, Chris Timmons, a partner at Knowles Gallant Timmons in the firm’s trial consulting practice, joined Olivia Troye, former advisor to Vice President Mike Pence, to discuss the revelations in former White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson’s new book. Hutchinson is widely regarded as a key witness in the former president’s efforts to overthrow the 2020 election.

Timmons shared the troubling timing of the book’s release ahead of the upcoming election interference trials in Georgia. He said, “I’m very concerned as a prosecutor any time I’ve got a witness giving a statement outside of the courtroom when I’m directing them. It’s fodder for cross-examination.”

Host Erin Burnett also asked Timmons, an adjunct instructor who teaches jury selection courses at Georgia State University College of Law, about the timing and potential pace of voir dire in the Georgia trial set for this October. Timmons said Judge McAfee will install clocks in the Fulton County courtroom to keep a brisk pace on jury selection.
